This project involves the design of a “House of Worship” in the town of Culross in Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. A group research and analysis of the townscape and possible sites has been conducted, as well as investigation into the liturgical practices and spatial requirements of the Baptist church. The capacity of the main gathering space of the proposed design is 80 people. The programme also includes an entrance lobby, a foyer, accessible toilets and related liturgical spaces required by the Baptist denomination. A two bedroom manse related to the gathering space is also provided.
